Typographic Portraits

I feel that this portrait shows an eaier way to do a typographic portrait.

However, I enjoy the following portrait much more, particularly the color. I will try to do my project this way, but might have to use some elements of the first.

Typographic Poems

A couple of my favorite typographic poems, for inspiration.

Digital Wood Type Poster: Phenomenal Woman Jennifer Ewing

Patrick Drake, or ~pattysmear on DeviantArt. Also find his work here.

Emigre Fonts

This is a typeface created by Emigre. Emigre is a digital type foundry and publisher of graphic design information. My favorite of their fonts is this one called Totally Gothic.

I like this font because it has both sharp points and curves. It seems almost like they should not fit together, yet they do. I also like the boldness of the font.

Three of my favorite drop caps from the site dailydropcap.com.

Charettes

Here are two charettes I made in typography class. My favorite is the second, with the words crisis.

Helvetica is found around the world, on signs, posters and in all sorts of other places. Here are three examples of Helvetica found in my everyday life.
